PRIMARY SCHOOL
The Moving On Up programme equips parents and guardians with the skills and knowledge to prepare their children for the social and emotional transition that comes with being in 1st year. Among the topics covered are: friendship, study and organisational skills, digital wellbeing and how to communicate with your child before and during the transition so they have the best possible support settling into secondary school life.In the final part of the talk, we address any concerns parents and guardians may have about their child beginning post-primary education.
Each participant receives our Moving On Up handout containing useful information and practical advice on supporting your child starting secondary school.
